Jocelyn is a highly experienced construction solicitor.
After a first degree at the University of Sussex and then a post graduate degree at Cambridge University Jocelyn started her legal career in London as a litigation solicitor. She worked at a number of firms including Slaughter and May before moving to the Midlands to join Eversheds where she became a partner and head of Construction and Engineering in the East Midlands.
In recent years Jocelyn has been a partner at Nelsons in Derby where she has built a practice undertaking contentious and non-contentious construction legal work. She joined Everyman Legal in April 2011.
Jocelyn is Vice Chair of the Society of Construction Law and a Regional Coordinator for Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire. In addition, she sits on the Committee and is the Vice Chair for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Midlands) and is a visiting Fellow in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment at Nottingham Trent University. Jocelyn is recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers in the field of Construction Law.
Jocelyn is married to a corporate solicitor, has a teenage daughter and lives in Derbyshire. She enjoys reading, theatre, food and travel.
